Revisiting my favourite dress
In November 2005 I went to Byron Bay. Before I went on holiday I had the workroom make me this bias cut dress using the Tea Dress block. It was cut from a piece of vintage rayon crepe de chine from my fabric collection. It was just one of those dresses we all have in our wardrobe - a favourite beach dress. Pictured above at Ocean Beach, Whangarei in 2007.
In our current collection we have had textile designer Julie Maclean reimagine this print in a silk/viscose in two colours (Flamingo and Royal Jade.)
I recently visited Noosa and loved wearing the new version of this print in the Mia Slip Dress.
Pictured below is the rouleau print being used throughout our current summer collection.
